On or about November 5, 2008, the City of Dearborn will
begin accepting proposals for its 2009-10 HUD funded Housing and Community
Development programs. Proposals will be accepted through December 19,
2008. A proposal package containing brief program descriptions and a
funding application is available at the
address below (and through links on this page).
Anticipated 2008-09 funding includes: $2.2 million Community
Development Block Grant (including program income and net pre-award
funding), $90,000Emergency Shelter Grant, and
$500,000 HOME. Pre-awarded Community Development Block Grant funding
will be allocated for public facility or infrastructure projects in
an approximate amount of $525,000.
The City currently participates in the HOME
program through the State of Michigan. Dependent upon the annual allocation
of HOME funding at the national level, the City of Dearborn may become
eligible to receive HOME funding directly. Therefore, proposals may
also be submitted for the HOME Program.
