“Find Your Spot” in Downtown West
Dearborn
Downtown west Dearborn is becoming one of metro Detroit’s
favorite attractions, with family entertainment, shopping, dining
and nightlife. And exciting new developments are in progress, bringing
more fantastic opportunities to live, work and shop in downtown west
Dearborn.
For many years, Dearborn city leaders, business owners and their customers
have discussed the best way to properly maintain and fund parking
lots in west Dearborn, as well as ensure that parking spaces are convenient
and available. In continuing efforts to address parking concerns,
major improvements have been made to the municipal parking lots, including
brick pillars, wrought iron fencing, landscaping and decorative lighting.
City officials have also commissioned Park-Rite parking experts to
operate and manage the downtown city-owned parking lots and its two,
300+ space parking decks. The goals of this new system are to provide
better management of downtown parking, dedicate revenue to operate
and maintain the lots, and ensure affordable parking spaces for all
users.
