Dearborn low-income home owners and renters
are eligible to apply for Weatherization Program (WX) assistance through
the Wayne-Metropolitan Community Action Agency (WMCAA).
Examples of Eligible Improvements:
A pre-inspection and blower door test will determine the specific
measures to be installed by private contractors.

(Income does not include child support, food stamps, or college
grants; but does include Social Security.)
If a household member received Family Independence Program (FIP),
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or State Disability Assistance
(SDA) benefits at any time during the 12-month period previous to
the application date, the household is automatically income eligible.
Documentation Needed:
Proof of homeownership: recorded deed, land contract, or title insurance.
(Renters will be given forms for completion by the property owner.)
Social Security cards for all family members.
Household income documentation for the 12-month period preceding
the date of application.
Other terms, conditions, and exceptions may apply. All terms and
conditions of the Weatherization Program are subject to modification
without notice.
