Built in 1973 and sometimes referred to as Fire Headquarters
or Central Fire Station. The station site was selected to coincide with
anticipated development and growth in the city. It currently provides
service to the center portion of the city including the Fairlane Town
Center as well as the area adjacent to Oakwood Hospital.
Housed here are the Fire Chief and Administrative Staff, Fire Marshal's
Division, Battalion Fire Chief, Training Division, EMS Coordinator,
Assistant Emergency Management Coordinator as well as Engine Company
1 and Rescue Company 1. There is much activity here daily.


V-51 1988 Seagrave stainless steel class A Pumper. Detroit
diesel 6V92 turbo diesel with Allison automatic trans. Waterous 1500
G.P.M. 2 stage pump with electric shift. Top mount controls. Fecon around
the pump foam system with 30 gal. foam tank. Vehicles Whelen front light
bar is equipped with an Opticom. Vehicle is equipped with all NFPA recommended
equipment. In addition this vehicle carries 1 Partner K-1200 multi-purpose
saw and Hurst Jaws of Life, spreaders, cutters, and power unit. Vehicle
has 500 gal. water tank. Vehicle carries 800 ft. of 2 1/2 inch hoses,
800 ft. of 5 inch hose, 2- 200 ft. 1 3/4 inch preconnects, and 2- 200
ft. booster lines. Vehicle has 2- 750 watt 110 volt Quick Rase quartz
lights on a telescoping pole. In addition, this vehicle is licensed
at the Advanced Life Support level for Emergency Medical operations
and is equipped with a Physio-Control LP12 cardiac monitor and all necessary
related medical equipment.

V-89 2000 McCoy/Miller type 1 medium duty rescue on a
Freightliner chassis. Front light bar is equipped with an Opticom. Vehicle
is fully staffed and equipped as an ALS unit and utilizes a Physio-Control
LP 12, 12 lead cardiac monitor with ECG transmission equipment.


V-82 1998 Ford Expedition Battalion Chief's car. This
vehicle is equipped with lights, Opticom and siren. It is used to respond
to emergency calls. Battalion Chief also uses this car for making rounds
of all stations. In addition, this vehicle carries air monitoring equipment
and a Thermo Imaging Camera and Monitor.
