The printers can overheat, posing a fire hazard. The recall involves Brother laser printers with model numbers HL-1040, HL-1050 and HL-1060, plus multifunction printers with model number MFC-P2000.

Retailers, dealers and office super stores nationwide sold the printers from June 1997 through December 2000.
