Drip pans may not catch drips; burners could ignite
Dollar Tree Stores, Inc., of Chesapeake, Viginia, is recalling about 294,000 drip pans, which are used under the burners of ranges to catch food that drips while cooking. The hot burners can ignite the drip pans and pose a fire hazard.
The recalled drip pans were sold in sizes ranging from 6 to 9 inches in diameter. The SKU number 845289 is on the pan or a cardboard insert in the package. All of the pans are black.
Dollar Tree Stores sold these drip pans nationwide from April to May 2002 for about $1.
For more information, call Dollar Tree Stores, Inc., at (800) 876-8077, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., ET, Monday through Friday.
