19750 Outer Drive
The City of Dearborn offers a free, comprehensive instructional
safety program through the Dearborn Fire Department's - Fire Safety
House.
Located adjacent to Fire Station #2 on Outer Drive north
of Michigan Avenue, this unique training facility is designed to teach
children important escape tactics by simulating an actual fire in the
home. The program incorporates classroom instruction on what to do in
the event of a fire, a question-and-answer period and an opportunity
to practice escape techniques in the fire safety house where "safe"
smoke and flashing lights create the illusion of an actual home fire
in progress.
