Floyd E. Addison is a lifetime Dearborn
resident and has been a City employee for 31 years.
He joined the Housing Department as a coordinator in July 1984,
and was elevated to deputy director in December 1990. Addison
was named housing director in September 1995.
Previously, he spent six years as an administrative assistant
in the City Clerk's office and in the City Beautiful and Community
Improvement Departments before becoming the City Neighborhood
Services Coordinator in 1981.
The 1969 graduate of Fordson High School earned his Bachelor of
Science degree from Ferris State College in 1973.
Addison's professional affiliations include the National Association
of Housing Redevelopment Officials. He has been certified as a
public housing manager, an occupancy specialist and a Section
8 inspector.
Deeply involved in community affairs, Addison is the president
of the Dearborn Optimist Club and is past lieutenant governor
and president of the Dearborn Civitan Club.
