What is Management of Information Systems and what does it do?

Management of Information Systems provides technology support to all departments of the City. This includes hardware and software support, database support, networking support and project support.

The MIS department works with all departments to determine the best application of technology with the goal of improved delivery of services to the residents and businesses of Dearborn.

The Communications Division of MIS maintains the City’s internal telephone system, pagers, radio systems, and cell phones.

The MIS department supports the City of Dearborn website as well as the OpenDearborn wireless initiative.
