| Doug Feldkamp was appointed director
of the Management of Information Systems (M.I.S.) Department in November 1999. The MIS department is responsible
for developing and maintaining the computer information services,
and communication systems for
the City of Dearborn.
Feldkamp began working for the City in 1998, serving
as the manager of the data processing division, which was a branch
of the Finance Department. Before coming to the City he was the
MIS Director for Galco Industrial Electronics. He started his
career in information systems as a programmer at H&H Tube
and Manufacturing, Inc., a manufacturer of metal products. Here
he became the information systems manager and supported the main
office and three manufacturing locations.
Feldkamp earned a bachelor of science degree from
the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and an MBA degree from University
of Michigan, Dearborn. Additionally, he obtained secondary level
teaching certification from U of M, Ann Arbor. He has also been an adjunct instructor at UM Dearborn.
He and his wife, Laurie,
have four children. They have lived in Dearborn for
over 25 years.
Feldkamp is
an active member of the Dearborn Outer Drive Kiwanis and a member of the Governmental Managment Information Sciences organization.
