REGISTER FOR SUMMER SWIM LESSONS

Registration for summer swim lessons, conducted at the city's outdoor pools, is underway at the service desk of the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center.

Two-week sessions, featuring instruction Monday through Thursday for approximately 30 minutes a day, are scheduled for each of the city's eight outdoor pools. Fridays are set aside for make-up lessons in the case of inclement weather.

Classes meet in the late morning or early afternoon at Dunworth, Ford Woods, Lapeer, Summer-Stephens and Ten Eyck and in the early evening at Crowley, Hemlock and Whitmore-Bolles

Four, two-week sessions are scheduled at Dunworth Pool: June 16-26, June 30-July 10, July 14-24 and July 28-August 7. Three, two-week sessions are scheduled for the remaining seven outdoor pools: June 16-26, July 7-17 and July 28-August 7. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis for Dearborn residents. Non-resident registration begins June 1.

The cost is $35 for Dearborn residents and $45 for non-residents. All participants must also purchase a seasonal swim tag either prior to or at the time of swim lesson registration. For further information, call 943-2350.
