
Suzanne Sareini was elected to a sixth consecutive term as a member of the Dearborn City Council in the November 2009 election, having first been elected to the Council in 1989.

Sareini was appointed and served two terms on the Michigan Women’s Commission where she was the co-chair of the business and education committee; a term as Chairwoman of the National Arab-American Republican Heritage Council; board member of the Michigan Republican Heritage (Nationalities) Groups and the National Policy Council for the Arab-American Institute in
Locally, Sareini belongs to the Women’s Association for the Dearborn Orchestral Society (WADOS) and the Dearborn Community Arts Council and she has served as a Trustee on the City’s Police and Fire Retirement System and she is a former board member of a Child Abuse Prevention Council; Child’s Hope.

For many years, Suzanne Sareini has been known as a Senior Citizen advocate. She attributes her heartfelt desire to see all seniors live out their life with dignity to her own experiences with her mother and with her personal experience and knowledge of end of life issues for all seniors.
She is the mother of a daughter and three sons and a grandmother to thirteen grandchildren.
