Health Department

Dearborn remains one the few Michigan cities to operate its own Health Department. The Dearborn Health Department works everyday to maintain, protect, and improve the health and quality of life for all ages through education and immunizations. The department implements the immunization of infants, children and senior citizen, health screenings and education for the general adult population, and preventive health care direction for newly immigrated residents. The department strives to provide services that are accessible to all members of the community. By staying on the cutting edge of newly developing health issues and practices, the department assures the community that protection against communicable disease is our first priority.
