Come and discover your local history at the Dearborn Historical Museum. Our facilities feature three historic buildings that include the 1831 Richard Gardner House and two buildings from the former Detroit Arsenal in Dearbornville (1833-1875); the 1833 Commandant’s Quarters and the McFadden-Ross House (originally the 1839 Powder Magazine).

The McFadden-Ross House features exhibits, the Hagelthorn Meeting Room and the Floyd and Mary Haight Archives. Our Archive includes a diverse range of artifacts, photos, papers and books that reflect local families and changes in our community through time. Dearborn’s history is presented through lectures, publications and special events.

Do you have a hobby or special interest? We are also the home of the Museum Guild of Dearborn. The Museum Guild is a non-profit organization which features more than 25 social and civic clubs, reflecting a wide range of interests. These member groups meet regularly in our Museum buildings. Collectively, they serve the mission of the Guild, which is to support the Dearborn Historical Museum.
