Homecoming Blanket Policy

Homecoming wouldn’t be Homecoming without spectacular fireworks on Saturday and Sunday nights.

But be advised that there is a policy regarding reserving space on the hill to watch the fireworks.

  • People can put their blankets on the hill after 8 a.m. on Saturday and after 8 a.m. on Sunday.
  • All blankets must be removed by midnight both nights.
  • The size of a blanket is limited to no more than 8 feet by 8 feet.
  • This policy is designed to accommodate as many families as possible to watch the stunning fireworks.
  • No stakes are allowed to secure the blankets or tarps.

Main Stage reservations

Also note that seats in front of the Main Stage can be reserved after 5 p.m. but must be saved by a person.  One person may save up to four seats, including the seat that he or she is sitting in.

New policy in 2010: No smoking

According to a new state law, there is no smoking allowed in areas in which food is prepared or consumed. In addition, there is no smoking allowed in any tents.
