Camp Dearborn’s annual summer tradition – the Beach Bash, held in celebration of Independence Day – will take place Saturday, July 3, this year.
This year’s open air concert will be provided by Riot House, a popular local band.  The band plays a great mix of 80s, 90s and current rock.  

The concert is held at the Camp’s public beach from 6-10 p.m. and followed by a spectacular fireworks display over the lake.

In addition to the fun of the Beach Bash, visitors to Camp Dearborn that day can enjoy acres of picnic sites equipped with tables and grills, a half mile swimming beach, paddle boat rentals, fishing and mini-golf.

The Camp Dearborn Canteen will be open with food available for purchase. Additionally, from noon to 10 p.m., ice ream and soft drink vendors will be on the beach.

Traditionally, the Beach Bash is a very popular event and draws large crowds in addition to the campers in the park.  Campers and visitors are reminded that personal fireworks are forbidden.

Day visitors are cautioned to expect long delays for exiting the park after the fireworks. The Oakland County Sherriff’s Department and the Camp staff work together to keep the exit process safe and orderly.

The Camp Dearborn gate opens to the public at 7 a.m. on July 3.  Admission at the gate is $4 per car for residents of Dearborn or Milford, and $6 per car for the general public.

On July 3 only, after 5 p.m. admission will increase to $10 for all visitors.

Season passes are also available for frequent visitors to purchase.  The seasonal rate is $20 for residents of Dearborn or Milford and $30 for all others.
