What has changed in 2010?

Public Service Days now will occur on every trash day in your neighborhood during the months of April, May, June, July, August, September, October and November.
On your trash day during those months, you must keep your parked vehicles off your neighborhood streets from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is a later start than under previous rules, to make it more convenient for residents. In many cases, residents have already left for work or school by 8 a.m.

What does the City do on Public Service Days?

Public Service Days allow the City to provide services like street sweeping, tree trimming, sewer maintenance and loose leaf collection in a more effective manner.

What are my responsibilities on Public Service Days?

You must keep your parked vehicles off the street from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on your neighborhood's Public Service Days.

You could be ticketed if you park on the street during Public Service Days in your neighborhood. Your vehicle may also be subjected to towing.

You also must keep your trash cans, yard waste containers and recyclable containers off the street. They should be placed on the easement for collection.

In addition, it is your responsibility not to park on the street in other City neighborhoods during their Public Service Days. If you are visiting a friend in another neighborhood, ask when their Public Service Days are.

How do I know what Public Service Day section I live in?

Public Service Days sections are the same as your neighborhood's trash pickup sections. For example, if your trash pickup day is on Monday, your Public Service Day is on Mondays, April through the end of November. See the map on this page.
