How do I make arrangements for a Justice of the Peace to perform my wedding ceremony?
The Mayor is able to perform weddings within the City of Dearborn limits, schedule permitting. Please call the Mayor's Office at 313-943-2300 for more information. Couples must obtain a marriage license from the Wayne County License Bureau; they can be reached at 313-224-5514.
In the event that the Mayor is not available, Dearborn has three district judges who may be of assistance.
Please note: The City does not provide flowers, music or photographers.
Does the Mayor send birthday greetings or anniversary greetings to people celebrating such occasions?
Yes, by calling 313-943-2300 in advance with the information pertaining to the event and honoree(s), i.e. name, mailing address and date of special occasion. A letter will be sent to the honoree(s).
I would like to receive information on a specific board or commission. Who can provide this?
The Mayor's Office has a list available of all city boards and commissions.
How do I become a member of a board or board commission?
