Police, Community Policing
The Department’s Community Policing Unit consists of two full-time sworn police officers, supported by three additional officers and one Sergeant. The purpose of Community Policing is to offer a wide range of services designed to improve the quality of life within the community. This is achieved by working in a partnership between the community and the police department. Community Policing consists of community education, crime prevention, crime reduction, and problem solving. The Community Policing Unit can focus on the needs of citizens and businesses located within the City.
The hours of the Warren Avenue Community Police Office are Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
