| Maintenance Week at The Center begins (Closed through Sept. 3) |

| Most portions of the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center will be closed Aug. 27 through Sept. 3 for the facility's annual maintenance week. During these days, the equipment and facilities at The Center will undergo extensive cleaning, reconditioning and refurbishment, including refinishing the Dome Room and gymnasium floors, installing new carpeting, cleaning grout in the two pools and painting certain areas. "These activities are necessary for the operation of our facility," said Greg Orner, Director of the Recreation and Parks Department. "We know they will cause some inconveniences and we apologize for them ahead of time." During maintenance week, the service desk will be open Aug. 27-30 weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Aug. 31 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Theater Box Office will be open Aug. 28-30 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Ford Community & Performing Arts Center will resume normal operations Sept. 4 at 5:30 a.m. For further information, call 943-2350. | |||||||
