Dearborn residents invited to participate in household
hazardous waste collection event on Saturday, June 7
Dearborn residents are invited to take part in a free household hazardous
waste collection event in Romulus on Saturday, June 7, being offered
by the Wayne County Department of Environment
The collection event is open to all Wayne County residents (including
Dearborn residents). It will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 7
at the Romulus Civic Center, 11111 Wayne Road (at Goddard, just south
of the I-94 Wayne Road exit).
Only household-generated products from Wayne County residents will
be accepted. All participants must bring their drivers’ licenses
to show proof of residency.
These electronic items will also be accepted for recycling: computer
CPUs, monitors, printers, scanners, keyboards, mice, cell phones,
fax machines, copiers and televisions.
The following items cannot be accepted: commercial waste, industrial
waste, radioactive material, explosives, ammunition, 55-gallon drums,
shock sensitive materials, household trash, refrigerators, microwaves
or other appliances, tires, yard waste and concrete.
