Hours for many City facilities changing during
Christmas/New Year holiday period
Many City of Dearborn facilities will be closed, or have limited hours
of operation, during the Christmas and New Year’s holiday period.
Curbside trash collection schedules will also be affected.
- Curbside trash pickup will take place on its normal schedule on
Monday, Dec. 24, and again on Monday, Dec. 31. It will be delayed
one day for the remainder of each of the two holiday weeks: Dec. 25-28
and Jan. 1-4. For those two weeks only, Tuesday pickups will be made
on Wednesday, Wednesday pickups on Thursday and so on. Trash pickup
returns to its normal schedule on Monday, Jan. 7.
- Dearborn’s public libraries will be closed Dec. 22-25. All
libraries will be open on Dec. 29. Branch libraries will closed Dec.
30-31 and Jan. 1. The Henry Ford Centennial Library will be open Dec.
29-30 and closed Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.
- City Hall, other City offices, the offices of the East Dearborn
Downtown Development Authority (EDDDA) and the 19th District Court
will be closed on Dec. 24-25, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.
- The Ford Community & Performing Arts Center will be closed
Dec. 24-25. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 31 and from
10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Jan. 1.
- The Center’s senior citizen services area will be closed
Dec. 24-25, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1. From Dec. 26-28, no classes or special
events will be offered and the senior bus transportation program will
offer only limited service.
- The Dearborn Ice Skating Center (DISC) will be closed Dec. 24-25.
