Dearborn Homecoming

New values, exciting rides at 2008 Homecoming carnival

The carnival at the Dearborn Homecoming is always a great attraction.

And this year, organizers are offering special rates on all-day wristbands to make the event even more affordable.

Advanced sale $10 wristbands, which can be used for one day, can be purchased online at www.wadeshowsinc.com prior to the event.

Dearborn’s 29th annual Homecoming festival, which is organized by the City of Dearborn, will take place at Ford Field on August 1-3.

Also available this year is the Big Partner wristband, which can be used to ride along with a paying child, for $8 per day. These wristbands are ideal when an adult or guardian is expected to ride with their children, but are hesitant to purchase a wristband or tickets of their own.

Traditional wristband and ticket sales will also available:

• Half-day wristband used for one day during the weekend from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for $12.

• All-day wristband, to be used for one day during the festival from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

• And, tradition tickets can also be purchased at $1.25 per ticket, $23 for 20 tickets or $44 for 40 tickets.

Event organizers, Wade Shows Inc, anticipate 26 thrilling rides at this year’s Homecoming, including the favorites Berry-Go-Round, Crazy Submarine, Dragon Wagon, Giant Slide, Giant Wheel, Kiddie Roller Coaster, Lolli Swing, Mega Drop, Merry-Go-Round, Ring of Fire, Tilt-A-While, Up-Up and Away Baloons, Zipper and the Zyclon Roller Coaster.

Dearborn residents and guests can also look forward to a rockin good time as legendary singer and songwriter Eddie Money and his band will headline the weekend celebration on August 2.

The weekend-long celebration will also have historical re-enactments, class reunions, fireworks, live entertainment, food stations, sports contests, and children's activities.
