Rotary Club to host Texas Hold’em Tournament at Dearborn Homecoming Festival

Dearborn’s Homecoming festivities boast something to do for everyone. This year, the Rotary Club of Dearborn will host a Texas Hold’em Tournament on Friday, August 1, 2008, in the Italian Shelter at Ford Field Park in Dearborn.
“This is a new event for Homecoming,” said City Councilman George Darany, a Dearborn Rotarian and the tournament coordinator. “We look forward to an excellent turnout—rain or shine!”
Funds raised from the tournament will be used to support Rotary service projects in the community and internationally.
The cost to participate is $50 per person. Registration will begin at 3:30 p.m. and tournament play will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday evening.
Due to limited seating, participants are encouraged to register in advance by visiting Rotary’s web site at www.DearbornRotary.org, printing out a registration form and mailing it with the entry fee. Those who preregister by Monday, July 28, will receive a free ticket for a Rotary-sponsored drawing and opportunity to win a ’67 Mustang.
