Upcoming events for senior citizens offered
The City of Dearborn’s Senior Services Division – part
of the Dearborn Recreation Department – is offering the following
events for senior citizens.
Except where otherwise noted, they will be held in the senior citizen
services area of Dearborn’s Ford Community & Performing
Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Avenue (corner of Michigan and Greenfield
Road).
Police presentation on crime prevention and personal safety
– This forum, hosted by the Dearborn Police Department,
takes place at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25. Topics to be covered
include crime prevention steps, protecting your valuables, responding
to an attack and reporting incidents. Advance registration is required.

Free legal information presentation and legal assistance
– An experienced elder law attorney will discuss legal
issues faced by older persons and their caregivers. Senior citizens
and their family members are encouraged to attend. Individual consultations
with the attorney will be available after the presentation, which
takes place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26. Advance registration

Blood Pressure, Cholesterol and Glucose Checks –
The City of Dearborn Health Department nurse offers free blood pressure
check for seniors every Thursday from 9-11 a.m. Cholesterol and glucose
checks are available for a fee of $5 each. For more information, call
