on Sunday, May 4, at 4 p.m. in the Michael A. Guido Theater of the Ford
Community & Performing Arts Center. The Center is located at 15801
Michigan Avenue (at Greenfield).
General admission tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for children and

The Season Finale concert will include the String Orchestra, the Flute
Choirs, and the Concert and Symphony Orchestras. In addition, three
concerto winners and members of DYS will be accompanied by the Symphony
Orchestra. Callie Bruley of Southgate and Cory Brown of Allen Park will
be performing Teleman’s Suite in F for Two Horns and Strings.
Mendez’s La Virgen de la Macaren will be performed on trumpet
with the Symphony Orchestra by James Yuyas of Lincoln Park.
The DYS was formed in 1975 to provide young performers with symphonic
ensemble experience and to foster interest in instrumental music. The
DYS has been an important step to greater musical achievement for many
young musicians in our community. Today, with the sponsorship of the
Dearborn Recreation Department, strong parental volunteer efforts, and
dedicated conductors, the DYS continues to nurture and challenge elementary
through high school age musicians from around the metro Detroit area.
