Local Traffic Studies: Our residents are understandably concerned about the vehicular traffic in their neighborhoods. Complaints by residents of cars that are “drag racing” or traffic that is “like an expressway” on their streets are not uncommon. However, we usually find these types of characterizations to be both exaggerated and misleading. The Dearborn Police Traffic Safety Bureau conducts traffic studies through the use of several electronic devices. We accurately measure both speed, and the number of vehicles using a given roadway. This link will provide accurate statistics gathered through traffic studies on specific streets to give a true idea of the type of traffic on a given street.
